HEADTEACHER

Brief

The first contact that was made with the school was back in April 2016, the school contact Bridge Eco Classrooms for further information on their Eco Classrooms.

Following a site survey with the head teacher and our sales director Paul Charnley, it was discussed a Eco Classroom would be required for additional external learning.  The Classroom would be open and allow plenty of natural light in.  The purpose of this build was to create a computer study room.

As planning was required, it was agreed Bridge Eco Classrooms would control this, the planning was submitted by our Planning Consultant, and drawings produced for floor plans and elevations.

Planning was granted and the purchase order received to commence works.

Solution

The final Eco Classroom was a stunning addition for the school.  The overall measurements of the classroom were 12m x 6m which was an open plan classroom.  The purpose of the build was to create a light room that could be used for computer lessons.

The structure was manufactured using SIP panels (125mm in the wall and floor, with 175mm in the roof to provide excellent insulation U Values.

The external structure was clad with Thermowood which is a kiln dried timber, however this timber does have the same guarantees as Western Red Cedar.

The doors were manufactured using aluminium with a anthracite grey finish, the windows were UPVC and also finished in a anthracite grey.

The internal finish was plasterboard skim to walls and ceilings with our contractor doing the internal paint work also.

Commercial graded flooring was used for the internal flooring.

The full electrical package consisted of down lights (to give plenty of light), power and data sockets.

Additionally Bridge Eco Classrooms supplied and fitted the heating and cooling air conditioning machine.

Externally a disabled ramp was manufactured using Thermowood and finished in a anthracite grey paint, to suit the building.

We would like to wish Bullerswood the best of luck with their new structure.
