Specifications

For a clear idea of how we build our outdoor classrooms and educational buildings, take a look at the information provided here. If you have any further questions, please give us a call.

ROOFING BRIDGE TIMBER BUILDINGS

The roof is a high spec composite powder coated metal skin panel system with a 150mm highly insulated core, giving exceptional insulating properties giving a U-value of 0.17. Again the roof is virtually maintenance free, requiring no replacement membrane or servicing.

WINDOWS BRIDGE TIMBER BUILDINGS

All of our buildings are fitted with double glazed secure UPVC windows. These are available in a variety of colours and material effects, such as wood grain, anthracite grey which is our standard colour. All doors and windows have excellent insulating properties, with super-efficient Planitherm toughened clear glass, warm edge super spacer bars.

DOORS BRIDGE TIMBER BUILDINGS

Our Eco Classrooms are manufactured using powder coated aluminium doors in our standard anthracite RAL7016, to include toughened glass with low E glass to reduce the solar gain. Our doors are fitted with trickle vents to optimise the internal environment and a secure locking system. Bi-fold and sliding door systems are available. Windows can be manufactured to match the door system, and with Bridge Garden Rooms offering a bespoke service, you can also design the size of your doors and windows

ACCESS RAMP BRIDGE TIMBER BUILDINGS

18mm x 145mm high quality hardwood decking fixed to c16 graded structural tanalised timber, giving perfect access for the less able

internal finish

All our modular classrooms have traditional plasterboard walls and ceiling, with a skimmed finish ready for your personal added touch. We recommend that you use a super latex high opacity matt or silk emulsion

FLOOR STRUCTURE BRIDGE TIMBER BUILDINGS

The floor structure is manufactured using 125mm SIP panel giving a U-Value of 0.21 incorporated into the structure are stress graded timbers giving the perfect foundation for the suggested classroom

INTERNAL FLOOR BRIDGE TIMBER BUILDINGS

Commercial grade vinyl with anti-slip applications where required ie toilets, entrance areas, kitchens. Commercial grade carpet tiles which are extremely hard wearing available in numerous colours.

LIGHTING BRIDGE TIMBER BUILDINGS

Fluorescent down lights are fitted with aluminium reflectors for long life, high efficiency reducing room costs. We offer an offer for low voltage LED lighting ideal for illuminating a space with a softer more relaxing light. Motion light sensors are fitted as standard

WALL STRUCTURE BRIDGE TIMBER BUILDINGS

Structural insulated panels (SIPS) are a high performance building system for residential and light commercial construction. The panels consist of an insulating foam core sandwiched between two structural facings, typically oriented strand board (OSB). SIPS are manufactured under factory controlled conditions and can be fabricated to fit nearly any building design. The result is a building system that is extremely strong, energy efficient and cost effective. The SIP panel is then wrapped in a waterproof, breathable membrane. This breathable membrane acts as a one way valve and allows natural moisture to escape out of the building.

FOUNDATION BRIDGE TIMBER BUILDINGS

Here at Bridge Garden Rooms we offer two types of foundations Pre manufactured concrete pads with adjustable stainless steel supporting brackets will be located across the foundations designed to allow variances in levels. Above there, there is a timber ring beam manufactured from C24 structurally graded timbers. Alternatives are available to the school if these foundations do not suit. Screw Pile Foundations, sometimes referred to as helical piles, screw pil foundations consist of steel screw-in piling and ground anchoring system used for building deep foundations, we find using screw pile foundations have a number of advantages from, shorter build times, minimal disruption to site, minimal impact on tree root systems enabling builds closer to TPO trees, with also no costly groundworks or removal of inert waste. (At times a site may prove unsuitable for screw pile foundations, for example, concrete raft however foundations will be approved and inspected by a building regulations officer.

CLADDING BRIDGE TIMBER BUILDINGS

High quality Western Red Cedar 18mm by 150mm.Western Red Cedar is the ideal natural material for cladding be-spoke classrooms to the natural preservatives contained within the wood, making it resistant to rot and decay with no additional chemicals or preservatives needed. Other wood species are available on request, such as thermowood, Siberian Larch or tanalised Redwood cladding. The natural oils and properties of Western red Cedar make the cladding virtually maintained free, requiring no additional preservatives.

TRESPA BRIDGE TIMBER BUILDINGS

Trespa allows nearly limitless design possibilities with its wide range of colours and thicknesses, and its adaptability – the panels can be used on their own or in combination with other materials to create stunning facades or simply as highlights to the design. Trespa is a decorative high pressure compact laminate (HPL) with an integral surface manufactured using Tresp’s in-house technologies, electron beam curing (EBC) and dry forming (DF). The flend of up to 70% wood-based fibres and thermosetting resins, manufactured under high pressures and temperatures, yields a highly stable, dense panel with good strength to weight ratios Extensively used in vertical applications like balcony panelling, façade and wall cladding, Trespa Meteon is extremely weaterh resistant. Neither sun, rain (including acid rain) – nor moisture have any effect on the panel surface or core. Both the UV resistance and colour stability of the vertically applied decorative surface comply with the highest score classifications 4-5, measured with the greyscale according to ISO 105 A02. Therefore, colours will not change significantly for at least ten years, even under the most severe climatic conditions, or in heavily polluted industrial areas.
