In Dykesmains Primary School we encourage and support all children from Primary 1 to Primary 7 to always do their best. Our school enjoys an extremely positive and welcoming ethos that is based on equality, fairness and mutual respect.

Brief

Our school brief was to design a classroom for an additional intake of children, the classroom needed to accommodate approx. 30 children. No toilet was required in the structure; they required it to be a pleasant open space with plenty of natural light for the children to learn.

Solution

Bridge Eco Classrooms produced the stunning structure that was required by the school; we listened to their requirements and designed a classroom based on their ideas.

The building was manufactured using SIP Panels (structural insulated panels), the cladding was to be Western Red Cedar to all elevations. In the front elevation there was to be Aluminium Double doors, with large UPVC fixed windows to gain additional natural light.

To the front elevation a thermowood access ramp and toughened class balustrade was manufactured.

As standard in our classrooms the internal was finished with plasterboard and skim to all walls and ceiling.

Commercial grade laminate flooring were laid throughout the classroom, with skirting board to suit.

The electrical package consists of down lights giving plenty of light, power and data sockets throughout.

A Stunning addition for the school and we wish them luck with their learning.
